If you do I was wondering if you could answer a question


Are profits this year up on last year from the 3 quarter of the year onwards from the success of the GB team at the olympics? And if so was it a bit or significant?

Surely even in a bit of a retail downturn there must have been a raft of people who went out and bought bikes, got old ones serviced, new parts for old bikes etc.....

The last time I asked the LBS I know and one of the owners it was from 16% to 23% up

My LBS also said they had a slight increase, they said it was more to do with cav in the TDF though

My LBS told me at the beginning of summer that if you wanted a new bike there was about 6 week + waiting time (they like to take them apart and re-assessble them). Still were happy to slot in work for regular customers though. I think he was getting Bike to Work scheme stuff in ... as they seemed to be mentioning that alot.

That's not the one that Mickle is working in is as he loves doing that!

Na, just curious in the current financial climate. I'm getting sick of the doom and gloom that is about at the moment. Everyone I meet and ask how things are seem to give the stock answer. "Aye alright, been busier, could be better etc etc....."
