Where my glasses have gone to?

The were on my table next to my laptop last night and now they've vanished.

Oh the joys of having my eyes succesfully lasered, no more lost, steamed up, broken, smeary glasses.

What is that like?

I have thought of getting that done as I'm fed up messing around with contact lenses and losing glasses. Also, fed up spending lots of money on contacts that I can wear when I do my Thai boxing, they don't damage my eyes if I get punched/kicked and having to change them every round. Sweaty contact lenses are not nice.

I had my eyes lasered 10 years ago at Moorfields Eye Hospital. I went from a -6.5 in both eyes to perfect vision initially, in the last couple of years I've gone slightly shortsighted (now -0.25 both eyes) so have glasses for driving.

It was worth every penny to be able to play squash without glasses falling off (I became unable to tolerate contact lenses, unfortunately) and to be able to find the loo in the middle of the night! One thing I would say, though, is if you think of having it done you should get it done in a proper, decent place.
