It's very important to me. Who builds Concept Bicycles?
I can't seem to find any contact details for The Concept Bicycle Building Company. They still seem to make bikes so they must be somewhere.
I am particularly interested in contacting them about my Concept Conquest 14 year old mountain bike to see if they can repair it or send me some replacement parts or even to tell me something else I need to know.
If anyone can find this out they will be performing a miracle.

I think it was a brand name used by Moore Large cycle wholesale company. An earlier brand of theirs was Emmelle (ML... Get it?)

I think my old MTB is Concept. I'm not 100% sure. I can only remember that there is an adhesive label saying Concept from Manchester. I'll have a look and post something back this Friday.

I've just found this. Click here (Sorry, I haven't read all so don't know whether it is useful or not)

Also I got this from google

I would imagine the manufacturer would be unlikely to fix your 14 year old bike; the shop you bought it from or your LBS is probably the best to go to for servicing, repairs or parts.

Saying that, there is a vast pool of experience of repairs and such on this forum so you could always ask for some specific help.

Is there a specific problem with the bike?

Why? What's wrong with it? Bikes are all made from much the same collection of parts, probably something that we could advise on or that your LBS can fix. And if they can't - it's highly unlikely that Concept will be able to help.

I have now managed to collect all the bits except for the bottom bracket which a reputable LBS should be able to supply in good quality. Although to be honest I think it works just fine. The only reason for replacement imo would be if it didn't fit the new chainset. I don't believe I need the calipers replaced as the brake pads I have bought should work just fine in the existing calipers. As soon as I can afford to get the bike to an LBS for a "proper quote" I'll do so. I would really like to do this work myself though but don't believe my skills are anywhere near up to scratch. All the parts I bought are Shimano apart from the freewheel wich is Ventura and the brake pads which are Jagwire.

Incidentally there was no-one working at the company who made Concepts that was still there from when I bought the bike in 1999.
