Hello,

Could anybody please shed more light on this bike? What i've got is its a elswick? Would it accept 700c rims and be decent to convert to ss for commuting?

@L14M if its on 27" wheels now then 700 will fit but you might need to change calipers for longer reach ones , but you might get away with the old ones try a 700 wheel in the frame and see if the pads touch rim or not .

Yes should be fine to go single speed might need to play with chainline and rear wheel dishing but no great issue for a good lbs

Just a problem is that the owner now seems dodgy, doesn't want to give me the frame number or the size apart from its a medium.

oh dear looks a fairly small frame size , perhaps they dont know where frame number is ????
