Does anybody know if a 7900 crankset is compatible with a 5700 groupset?

As the thread title indicates, I'd like to know the answer to this question please. It's a KMC chain BTW but that shouldn't make a difference I think.

I could never justify the cash myself but My old FSA crank pulled 5700 and now 6700, so I think youll be fine. The speed is the main thing I believe but even then I dont think itll matter too much at the front its not like a tightly packed cassette and rear derailleur. Get a second opinion though.
