Hi,

You may, or may not have seen my review of the raceblade long mudguards...

http://www.cyclechat.net/threads/raceblade-long-road-racer-franken-guards.120748/

As you can see I have tried some spesh 25mm tyres and they just fit, but as spesh is known for being on the large side as far as tyres are concerned Im thinking that 25mm from another brand might be a bit smaller, and fit inside them with a little more space.

I have measured the spesh tyres, they come out as...
Width (at widest point) 28 to 29mm
Height (from edge of rim to perpendicular height of tyre) 23mm
Circumference (edge of rim to edge of rim on the other side) 68mm

I hope that makes sense.

I also measured a Pro 4 23mm
Width 25mm
Height 20mm
Circumference 56

Hopefully, other brands will be somewhere between those measurments.

I would be particularly interested to hear the measurments for GP4000s, Pro4 (in 25mm - Very rare at the moment), Durano Plus, and any other really!

Many thanks to those that take the time to help out!

Paul.

Conti 4seasons come in narrower than Mich, but taller for 23mm tyres.

Do you know Specialized now do a 24 tyre which might suit your needs
I'm running 25 conti gp 4000s and they are 26mm high from rim to top of tyre and 27mm wide when inflated to 115 psi

Thanks for the replies, but what Im really after is owners with 25mm tyres to take a few measurments for comparison.

Had bother with clearances myself but unless you are measuring a wheel with same rim width and depth the results will be mixed, the tyre you quote could measure completely different on a wider rim even assuming the circumferemce of the rim is the same which I doubt it will be.

That would be ideal, but it seems more of a race tyre (but the reviews i have read also suggest it does t puncture too often) BUT they are 45 pound each!!!

I'm running the specialized 24s on my tarmac I'll let you know how I get on.

The continue go 4000s are tight on the venge, I have to let the Tyre down to get the wheel off otherwise the brakes grab the tyre

Michelin Pro Optimum (sits within the Pro 3 / Pro 4 group, with front/rear specific tyres)

Front
26mm high taken from rim lip
26mm wide (best guess)

Rear
26mm high taken from rim lip
27mm wide (best guess)
