note to self!

do not unpack a new espresso machine at 10.30 pm - it ends up with a 'few trial runs' and the consumption of far too many shots to give me any chance of sleep this side of 3 am!

wired!

Are you still awake?

What did you get? Is it any good?

I am still very much awake

It's a fairly cheap Delonghi EC330S, and having removed the "perfect crema device" from the filter basket and instead relied on a fine grind and some good tamping I have to say I am impressed... buzzing but impressed

Plus sides to the unit are a small footprint (in a 'busy' kitchen) and a good steam wand control dial, downers would include the cheap portafilter and typical plastic steam wand.

But for cheap money, a good result.

Why not? I recommend unwrapping your Espresso ASAP and installing it right away.
