I cannot see any external groove wear indicator on my wheels but reading here: http://www.tech-mavic.com/tech-mavic/technical_manual/data/docs/products/2_119.pdf
I can see that some wheels are actually machined on the inside so a hole will appear if there is too much wear.
Can anyone confirm this?

EDIT: I noticed a small indentation perpendicular to the rim and opposite the valve. I think that's the wear indicator.
