Not cycling related this

but it seems if I have been sitting for an hour or so, when I stand up, I go pretty dizzy for around 5 seconds, pretty damn annoying too

I know I should visit my GP but its a pain to actually get an appointment these days

Mrs Vike is prone to suffering something similar. We know she has low blood pressure. A side effect of this is that if she gets up to quickly she will fell dizzy and sometimes faint. It is managable by making sure sh gets up fairly slowly. Certainly worth getting a check up. Most GPs will do a general well man clinic.

Low blood pressure for sure... possibly compounded by anaemia.
My OH suffers in a similar way - and it's worse when she's preggers (and therefore low on iron according to the doc)

Try a week or so with an iron supplement before you go to the doc, and maybe a very very slight increase in your salt intake.

I get the same. Low blood pressure. The advice from the doctor is to stay very well hydrated and stand up slowly (don't often remember to do that) - no other treatment. Go get checked out to see if it is this or something else

I've had similar dizzy spells when sitting up quickly or lying down. I've been to the doctors and he has told me It's probably vertigo. He gave me some tablets to calm the sensation down (prochlorperazine) One good thing I don't seem to get it when i am on my bike might be something to do with holding onto the bars.

Hope your able to get it sorted soon its damn annoying.
