DIY light mounting bar - anyone made one?

I have a few rear lights with wrap-around circular fastenings that are too small to fit round the girth of the seatpost on my bike so I was thinking of fashioning a clamp-on T-bar for them. I know you can buy clamp-on T-shaped lighting extender bars but I just wondered if anyone here has made their own?

Fit a rack.

Gives you more real estate to bodge lights to.

Ive used elastic bands before now. Cheap (free, post office issue of the floor).

Fit / remove in seconds :

Go to the bike jumble, get a really thin, really long old school early 90's A-head stem, the longer the better like one of the ludicrous 150mm ones with thin walls, steel if possible to reduce bulk.

The stem clamp fit's most seat tubes with a little shimming apart from very over sized ones, then you stick an off cut of flat bar or pipe in the bar clamp.

Thanks for that - I'll have a rummage in the bit box(es) and see what I can cobble together engineer.

The plumbing bits sound a possibility too.

Nice to have different options .
