Hi All
this is the craic.
I have a PX London roadwith PX own brand wheels , about a year old with approx 7000 miles on the clock.
Rear wheel was out of true, my LBS straightened up "as best I can!" but they are rough.
So took to another bike shop diagnosed worn bearings , had them replaced.
First ride halfway in some disturbing noises coming from drivetrain, when home checked out to find loads of play on rear cassette, returned to LBS , you need a new free hub body !
So up to now the wheel/s have cost £30 on repairs plus £60 ish for the free hub , should I bin them and buy some more or continue down the repair road !
regards
ILG

New bearings in and new free hub - you may as well keep them and make a decision if and when something goes wrong again. (If you try selling them you won't get as much for them as they owe you)

Time for new wheels, the standard ones aren't going to be too great. Mavic Aksium / Fulcrum racing sport disc both around the £140 mark, I've used both on my LR, great for the price

Thanks chaps
Have seen a set of fulcrums for £114 at probikit , what does this mean though ,
  • Two versions available (front QR or 15mm, rear QR)

The ones for sale are 6 bolt/ TH bolt (R:QR)
I think my rotors are 6 bolt on my PX . what does the rest mean ? will they fit my PX ?
Any help very much appreciated.
regards
Mark

That's the wrong wheelset going by the dropdown menu. You need QR front and rear with 6bolt compatible hubs, those on PBK look like a through axle front - QR rear :stop:
