I am seeking some know-how. I have a frame with Shimano callipers and a totally clapped out 700c centre lock hubbed wheel. I am looking at budget wheels. There are few ready built centre lock hubbed wheels at less than a weeks wages, but plenty of wheels with 6 hole hubs to take a basic rotor. My question is will these wheels with discs fitted simply drop into the existing calipers which at present have centre lock discs, or will they require adaptors or whatever. This is my latest project, N+2 :bicycle:

Thanks.

The only thing needing changing will be the rotors - you'll need the 6 bolt type rather than the centre-lock. Otherwise no probs. You'll likely need to re-centre brakes once fitted

Thanks for that. I realised I would need new rotors but they are cheap enough. As long as simple routine centering and setting up is all that's involved that's great.
