I have an ancient Cannondale T600. I rode it to work last night and broke two spokes in the rear wheel, which is not really up to the job of transporting my vast bulk complete with a pannier full of all the crap I somehow seem to need at work. Honestly, anyone would think I was going away for a week. Anyway, I've just been browsing for a reasonable set of touring wheels (because the front wheel's a bit knackered too) and I've just realised that by far my cheapest option would be to break the Cannondale for spares and fit the bars, STI levers, rear rack and close ratio cassette to my Kona Lavadome. This would give me a great commuting bike for virtually no outlay.
On the other hand, the Cannondale is very fast and actually, aside from being scruffy, not in bad nick. I suppose I could sell the frame and forks, but I can't imagine there's much of a market for 20 year old aluminium frames with steel forks. I'm really not sure what to do, but if anyone either offers me a half decent wheelset or a nominal amount of money for the frame, I'll have my mind made up for me. Over to you ...![Big grin  ](/styles/default/xenforo/smls/biggrin.gif)
