Difference Shimano SP40 and SP41 gear outers?

Can someone tell me what the difference is between them?

More to the point, is there any difference in performance?

I believe that the SP40 version is the older style spiral wound type whereas the SP41 is the newer linear bound outer.

One is designed for 11 speed upwards

41 is lubricated for allegedly 10% less resistance

SP41 should give marginally more protection against UV-B radiation, but there's not much difference.

This Shimano page shows the difference as being soley the pre-lubrication with 'a special, silicone grease'.
