Did anyone watch cycling across America?

'Twas on last year, but good all the same.

Found it odd. Very low average speed, and seemed to get weaker as he went on; I would have expected the opposite.


Wonder if he did do it again.

Possibly more relevant in Racing.
I only saw the first part of it, and a couple of things stood out:
First, the programme didn't really look at his preparation to show the input required.
Second, for however much training preparation he had done it was clear that the support team was not switched on from the start - I think I even heard one asking him how to do up a quick release when they were being given that little pep talk before the départ.

From your post I guess he got there in the end.
