Hi

I was hoping for thoughts on this bike that I am thinking of purchasing.
Diadora Bomba 09.JPG

The bike is a Diadora Bomba 09, not sure what that means but the frame is a dedacciai 3k 09.
The groupset is Campy Record 10 sp with MOst carbon crankset. It has Remerx RCX wheeleset ( which aren't on it in this picture) which I am told is the equivalent of something like Fulcrum 1's or Fulcrum 3's.
The bike has a Prologo saddle, with alloy bar and headset and a couple of carbon cages.
The guy is looking £2500 for it.

As always, all thoughts are appreciated.

I'm sure that you know that Diadora is an Italian shoe maker. I don't think they have branched out - so it will be a re-badged something or other. The wheelset is also an unknown property.

As I see it you are paying out top whack for a largely unknown proposition and I suspect it will be hard to shift if you find that you have bought a pup.

A quick back of the fag packet calculation would put the cranks £200 , Levers and 2 mechs £400, wheels £300, and finishing kit say £300. So the frame is £1300! (and that is assuming the Pinarello brand cranks are any good and that there is no damage to the levers and mechs etc etc.)

Cheers, trying to google info on this bike and any of the kit draws as good as a blank

Googling the name "Diadora Bomba", and the top result is this thread! I would say that is probably not such a good sign in itself.

For under 2500 you can get a carbon bike with full Ultegra from a big name like Pinarello, brand new, from a reputable dealer (Link). If you have that much money to spend, might as well play it safe.
