Just wondering if there is any diabetics who ride 5+ miles one way and have any advice as to what to eat on a longish ride? I am eating porridge for breakfast, but coming home, how do you prepare to make sure your sugars stay ok.
This is a good site www.runsweet.com Im diabetic type 1 i carry jelly beans with me i find this helps my doctor also said that i should try and cut back on the insulin i take in the morning after breakfast hope this helps ian
Hi Ian, thanks for your tip. I'm type 2 controlled with tablets and I find I get the shakes after a ride. I check my blood sugars and it is usually 7-8 which is ok
