Just wondering if there is any diabetics who ride 5+ miles one way and have any advice as to what to eat on a longish ride? I am eating porridge for breakfast, but coming home, how do you prepare to make sure your sugars stay ok.

Hi Ian, thanks for your tip. I'm type 2 controlled with tablets and I find I get the shakes after a ride. I check my blood sugars and it is usually 7-8 which is ok

7-8 is that after the ride ? i know i only start to get the shakes at 4.5 or lower at 4 its starts to get bad headaches and weak legs
i would think at 7-8 it should be ok maybe your just pushing yourself too hard
