with the UCI, the amount of the fine shall be equal to the net annual income from cycling

I should imagine Di Luca's net income was at least 140,000 Euros to be honest.

Its got to be life bans across the board for convicted dopers for me...

Having the likes of Basso and probably Ricco waltz back into a top team after 2 years is no deterrent.

I agree seeing either in a pro race would put me off it, (especially Ricco as he was such an obvious fraud. I think Basso maybe got a little influenced by "Mr 60%") as his sudden improvement came when he went to CSC.
