Winter is fast approaching and there seems to be quite a few deals for thermal bib tights. I was looking at ordering the Altura bibs but sizing seems to be an issue and especially if you’re not of average body size/height. I am only 5’5 and inside leg is 29”

Found some DHB thermal bibs but small according to the size guide is showing at 33” inside leg.

Does anyone use DHB bibs and what is the fit like or could anyone recommend some thermal sub £30ish bibs?

I'm 5'9" and wear M in DHB thermal bibs.

Wiggle make returning of product for exchange or refund very easy.
Order a couple of sizes to try.

I have found sizing on DHB shorts off by one size , so if it says XS i would go for a small etc which has worked for me .
As @ianrauk says their return policy is excellent as you can even send them back without paying postage costs as they have return points which are normally corner shops.

Thanks Ian and CK. Didn't realise Wiggle arranged returns like that. Might be worth a punt in small an medium and then exchange the wrong size. Ian, what are the pad inserts like for comfort?

Red - Unfortunately Decathlon only showing large sizes upwards.

DHB gear is very well made and great quality for the prices.
Pads are very comfy..for me....may be not so for others... it's a personal thing... for me....I can do 100+ milers on them easy..

3-4 hours is a reasonable ride for me and I ditched my razor blade Fizik saddle some time ago. People seem to have good things to say about the brand. You have helped make my mind up.

Thanks again for the help peeps. Much appreciated!

Just bought a pair from decathlon - they seem to have a decent returns policy

Pity these only have the larger sizes

Indeed i found the new aeron pads did not suit my behind but the cheaper active range is the same as last years aerons which suit my derrier shape.

I have the DHB Vaeon Roubaix in XL. I'm a big(ish) lad 100 kg but short legged (29"). The XL fits me well, and whilst I suppose the legs would suit someone much taller, I don't notice the extra length. Not done more than about 60 miles at a stint in them, but don't recall there being a comfort issue - use plenty of Sudocrem or similar for longer rides.

I like them - the material is good, they look sleek and tough for winter riding. Bought to replace a similar DHB model that I wore a hole in due to a projecting nut on my 'bent - that I failed to realise was catching under my thigh, until I wondered where all the blood was coming from.........

I have a 29" inside leg, but wear medium DHB bibs (Aeron Pro if I remember correctly) and they stop above the knee, the hip/waist measurements seemed more important to fit.

I would happily recommend them, use them for commuting year round, I've had one pair over 2 years now and still going strong!

Don't have the tights, but the bib shorts are excellent and the pads are good. I have the super cheap shorts (£10 at the moment) are fine for my 11 mile commute and I even saw a couple of ride londeners in them at the weekend. I've done 60 miles in the blok shorts (tights are also available) which use use a cytech pad and they were very comfortable. Highly recommended!

I have some old (before they changed the design and sizing) DHB thermal bib tights. Length wise they are no problem and I get my jeans from the Big and Tall range at M&S because they offer 35" leg. I cannot comment on the new design, but Wiggle offer free returns, so I suggest buy every item in your price range and send back the ones you don't want.

I have a pro Roubaix bib tight and they are great. I bought also a cheap pair of bib shorts for the summer, fit is good but the pad is rubbish compared to the expensive range tights.

If I were you I'd invest in the absolute best you can afford, you won't regret it in the long run.
