Hi all. Was considering ordering a pair of these bibtights for the winter. They seem to get very good reviews in magazines. Just wondered if anyone has got them, or indeed what the general opinion of dhb stuff is like please. Cheers ;)

I have some and wore them yesterday in 3c temperatures. Very comfortable and warm. For the money, an excellent bibtight.

I also have the dhb 3/4 bib. Again, an excellent value for money product.

No problems with the pad, comfortable for the entire 110km ride. Windproof? Difficult to say as they're a pretty generous fleecy fabric and there was negligible wind, but I didn't feel anything I'd call a wind chill whereas I did feel it in my fingers.

Sometimes the best praise you can give something is to say you don't notice it. They're in that category! As I say, for the money, can't be faulted.

bought a pair of cheap 2006 ones and still wearing them, like them plenty, nice and warm, come quite high up the body

I have a problem with bib 3/4s. My Enduras (MT500s and the normal ones) either have the pad too far forward or too far back. My FS260 Pro shorts fit like a bumglove, I just wish they did a 3/4 version....

What's the pad fit like on the DHBs?

I find them very comfy but the pad is more ar5e orientated  it could do with being moved a little further forward but it doesn't rub or irritate the nether regions like other shorts with a more rearward pad

I am also going to get a pair of these, but am waiting for the 2009 stock to come in, but they won't be in until "early Nov"
Poor work by Wiggle not getting their winter stock in until November.

Are the sizing right for the bibs at the moment. When I ordered my non-bib shorts, the sizing guide had me down for a Med. After emailing them, they recommended the XL, which is what I would have expected and fit fine.

The bib longs have me down as a Large (36" waist, 42" chest, 6'1") does this sound right?

Are we talking about the same tights? I got some last year and they are by no stretch of the imagination warm or windproof! I have to wear baggy shorts over the top of them if it's even just moderately cold.

Just goes to show that YMMV applies as with everything! Funny really because I overheat very easily on the top half but really noticed the cold with just the one layer of these tights (I should have got some without a pad to wear over padded shorts).

I don't know what YMMV stands for (your mileage may vary??) but I suspect it's something along the lines of differing opinions.

Just to re-enforce that opinions do indeed differ, I have found the dhb bibtights to be too warm on occasions (and I don't mean mid summer!). Check the seams in yours Graham, praps your backside is hanging out the back!

But I might agree with you about wind proof. They are fleecer than my others bibs but I suspect a chill wind might go through them more easily. I've not experienced it personally but the fabric doesn't have that element of firmness that I associate with a wind proof fabric.

Hm. I've got some dhb bibtights from 2 years back and I've found them to be warm and comfortable. Mine have a red padded insert if that identifies it with yours.

I've got two pairs of the dHb bib-tights and have been wearing them in winter since 2006 (well, first pair was bought late 2006, second pair just after the summer 2007).

Never had a problem with feeling cold in them, regardless of the Scottish winter weather. I arrive at work hot & sweaty, as they really do feel too warm at times.

Are yours definitely the fleecy-lined ones ?

My only problem with the pad is that the stitching has gone in parts on both pairs - but atthe price I paid and the wear I've had out of them, I can't complain. I'm sure they'll last me many more winters too.

Tights arrived today. Tried them on and they feel very comfortable to be honest. Just been out for a 14 mile loosener and they are indeed nice and warm, and its a very cold day here today. Hopefully they will prove to be as good as most on here say. Thanks again everyone.
