Deleting posts

fwiw I deleted a post a couple of days ago no problem (using Firefox on Linux). I'll try deleting another one now to be sure.

... later ... no that deleted fine. I had a warning it would still be viewable by the moderators then deleted no problem. It might be worth clearing your browser cache then try again.

I tried to delete the post above (Windows, IE) and got the following report:

There's problem with the software that will be fixed in the next release - it shows two delete options - the user/moderator "soft" delete button (on the right), and the admin "hard" delete button (on the lower left).

Use the right-hand button and it should work fine.

Sorry, Shaun, I'm probably being thick, but I only see one delete button - it's on the bottom right next to "edit", "reply", and "multiquote". That's the one I used.

It just worked for me. Press the delete button attaching to the message and a box comes up with two options, Remove and Delete. Clicking the Remove button does what it says on the box.

So what incriminating text did you want to expurgate?
