Hi all,

I just thought I would post a 6 month review of the Defy 1. In summary, it has become an obsession and every moment on it is a joy. After years of using a mountain bike (which I still do, Specialized Rockhopper), it was a shock at first (no suspension, only 2 chain rings etc.) but with time and practice, I have learned to love it.

It's quick on the straight, VERY comfortable and loves hill climbs. My typical ride is between 40 and 80 mile which is completed with relative ease.

So if you're considering it and you are after a well specced and comfortable sportive bike, do it. I paid £899 in January but I am starting to see if for as little as £750. Worth every penny.

Cheers

Mike

I again have a Defy 1 Disc and loving it as well, had for 5 weeks now. It is my first road bike I have owned! I agree with everything that Mike has said. Looking forward to my first Sportive next month in Liphook.
I did say to myself that I would use my hybrid for my commute to work but once I get into the garage I keep hoping on the Defy and pedal off to work instead on that
