My new RS80s arrived yesterday, the decision finally made after a Wiggle offer saw me get them for 280 notes.
So much lighter than my Bontrager SSR 30mm wheels, and the hubs seem much smoother.

Shod them with Conti tubes and folding Gatorskins, very quick and easy to fit.

They had a first use at the local race circuit last night, and the bike felt more 'nimble', but was just as solid in corners as before.

Will use them on the commute today, so will see how they feel on the hills.

Will they make a big difference to my cycling? Absolutely not  but with the SSR wheels wearing out after 12k miles or more I am more than pleased with the RS80s.

Great wheels, I love mine.

Hope you get good use out of them.

Because the beaded versions I ran for the last 4 years never gave me a single puncture, come rain or shine. My daily commute is on country B roads, not the nicest Tarmac.

I think Robert was referring to why use gatorskins in the race last night; totally understandable for the commute.

ah, wasn't racing at the circuit, training with my lad, and wanted to ride them today, so made sense to stick the gators on

That makes sense; as above, I've had around 3-4000 trouble free km out of mine so far...you know what'll happen next time I'm out...
