Buy cheap, buy twice is the old saying. I replaced some worn out rim brake pads recently, with some cheap as chips Lifeline pads. They're ok, but in the wet aren't offering much and even with toe in, they are squeaking occasionally.

A fellow club member recommended I get the Ultegra pads - but a quick look online reveals a myriad of codes and choices. I tried to look at the specs on Shimano's site, but can't decipher it easily to establish which ones I need - and if I need to replace the shoe to accommodate?

I'm running a pair of Hunt Superdura Race (24mm wide ext) and 2014~ 105 caliper rim brakes. I have a 28mm Schwalbe front tyre, 25mm Conti rear (soom to be swapped to match the front).

Thanks

I'd recommend the SwissStop as they are kind to alloy rims and give reallly good stoping power in wet and dry conditions:
