Most cheap lights in the £10-£30 range will do. Decide if you want ones that run on batteries or USB rechargeable .
Cateyes are pretty good. I use them as my front/rear backups

The 'knog blinder' is the one for me.
A real attention grabber for motorists from more angles than most lights can manage. Weighs less than 60 grams. Charges via usb. Run time on flash about 50 hrs.
Evans had a look load of different lights on a bar and I switched them all on. This was the winner by a clear margin. Tis super dooper.

Get the CREE one off Ebay for £17....5 different modes of brightness, 4.5 hours on full blast...as good as it gets for the money and you get a free solar powered tail light.

I use a couple of 9x led torches like this...

only a couple of quid each, held on with a couple of these...

which are £3-£5 on ebay.

plenty bright enough to be seen with... but almost useless on unlit roads.

I'd avoid little lights such as those frog things. Even though they're only to be seen with, a couple of LEDs fades into nothing on busy city streets

I've just recieved some Cree XML t6 lights fitted the rear and the front mount won't fit , so I've read the description and the bar size is smaller than mine ...doh haha does anyone know a simple solution ? Thanks

Knogs, whilst they look good, suffer from water ingress or the straps snapping.
Agreed - my Knog blinder rear light self destructed before it even got out the house. Nice design, poorly made.
