Decathlon bikes have moved website, not gone.

A few people have noticed that some of the better bike bargains recently disappeared from the Decathlon website recently and the site also had a redesign.

It seems that the bike stuff has moved to www.btwincycle.com/EN and those decent bikes still appear to be available, along with their usual gear.

They've only disappeared from the Decathlon site because they've done their usual trick of releasing the upgrade before it's ready. I sometimes wonder if they actually pay for web services, or just play around with an online site builder in their lunch hours.

Having said that - one of the joys of Decathlon is that the stock in the shop is different (and more varied) than the stock on the website. And the coffee is brilliant - so making the trip is always worthwhile

I visited a large French Decathlon store whilst on holiday with £££ burning a hole in my pocket to replace the bike stolen on holiday, had seen a quite nice Cyclo Cross bike on the UK site, arrived and they barely stocked any road bikes and not many at 800 euro plus. Thought that a little strange, got on to the french site and they do not seem to have as much choice as the UK stores, which again is pretty strange.

You see loads of b'twin bikes in France but not many decent ones, I think I read somewhere that their bikes come form a Polish factory, so I wonder why the UK lists much more expensives and wider range of bikes? Not having been to a UK one do they have the indoor test ride bit and do they stock the 800-2k bikes?
