Alrite everybody thinking of getting a new dawes xc 1.4 mountain bike just wondered if anybody knew if they are any good

I've no experiance of them but it looks pretty poor for £300 to me.

I suppose it's alright for £200 but I wouldn't recommend it.

If the bike is for MTBing then you'd be much better off saving up a little bit. If the bikes for commuting / leasure riding then I'm sure someone could recommend a reasonable hybrid for that sort of money.

listing how you intend to use the bike / what your budget is.
