Dawes Horizon 22" Steel 531 blue frame model. Brooks 17 saddle. I think it's a 2000 bike. I bought it in excellent condition but TBH I am bit long in the tooth to get used to it, particularly the drops, I'll stick with my Discovery 501.

I paid £100 for it:ohmy: which was a steal. It has a luggage rack and I have added the following to it:-

New mudguards.
New Schwabe marathon plus tyres (32c)
New traps
New bar tape
Full LBS service

It is ready to roll, it's not a bike with niggles or needing any work, it's fresh. I have £195.00 in it and am looking for £200:biggrin: £5 profit for sorting out all the niggles that you do not now have to. I'll post pics tomorrow and it is for sale in my LBS at £295 so might be sold from there.

If you want to take all the bits you put on it off, I'll give you £100 for it!

Telling people that you bought the bike for £100 but want to sell it for £200 might not have been the best marketing strategy

Oh I don't know.....it's sold:biggrin:

It was a good price, the tyres cost £50, service £30 + traps + guards and the thing was set up perfectly. It was a 531 mint tourer for 200:wacko:

Thought I'd update this one, Sold it to a guy (from a cycle forum) who brought it back, said he didn't "suit it" TBH I wasn't bothered it was a lot of bike for £200. Trouble is, it just sat there taking up space. "Sold" it again for £200 to a no-show and it sat there, taking up space......

Stuck it on Ebay, sold it, buyer drove over 200 miles to collect it and paid £365:smile:

That's Ebay for you - sometimes you win, sometimes you don't.
I bought a frame & forks, with handlebars & aerobars for £65 for a project which never got off the ground.
I use the handlebars on my commuter, I kept the aerobars 'in case' , put the F&F in here - no interest. Sold on Ebay for over £100:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

I sold two identical Bickertons for my Dad - his & my mum's old bikes. Same bike, same condition, bought on the same day, used for the same miles. One went for £24, t'other, a fortnight later, for £70. Go figure.
