Dawes racer

I have an old dawes double five racer in metallic light blue The seat tube length is 21". I have had it since new circa 1973. It is complete with lots of surface rust. The tyres are complete but persihing but could be restored. Is there any value in this type of bicycle or is it destined for the scrap heap

That would be a project to restore especially that you've had it from new.

@levelplaying welcome aboard , yes your old Dawes is well restoring .

Please dont loose all its originality , ie just make it roadworthy and give it a clean or pass it on to somebody who would please
