Dawes Milk Race Bikes

I have 2 Dawes Milk Race racing bikes, one men's and one ladies which are in pristinge condition. I am looking to perhaps sell them and wondered if anyone knew their worth as do not want to 'give' them away but equally don't want to price them out of the market. Also where would be the best place to sell them? Any help would be much appreciated.

I can't help with the pricing, but someone will be able to. If you can post pictures, then not only would it help but we lovers of older bikes would all appreciate it.

I did a quick search and if they're pristine I expect they look lovely. Interestingly from looking at pics on the web, I see that the tubing for these bikes was Reynolds 500, which is plain guage (fairly heavy) steel and at the lower end of the market (same as my Dawes Shadow) as were the components. So the actual bike itself and components would probably not attract a big price (I paid only £50 for my Shadow which was in great nick) but what will make it really special is the good condition and the commemorative paint job. How much that would add ... I have no idea.

One other thing - you might get a better response if this was in the Classic and Vintage section. Please don't re-post there as double posting is frowned on, but if you contact one of the admins they may move the post for you.

Not a high end bike but nevertheless reasonably sought after, the Raleigh Team Banana ones are very popular for some reason. Raleigh also did a Milk Race model. I should have thought about a hundred quid each if they are in nice condition, although ladies frames tend to fetch less. eBay would give you the best exposure.
