It looks very good indeed and the colour scheme is well chosen. I think perhaps a saddlebag support platform that attaches to the seat stays might prove necessary to keep the weight off the mudguard if you carry a heavy load in the bag.

Looks very nice. I’m first road bike was a Dawes, probably about the same age as that.
