Dauphine libere

We're driving down to France next weekend, and taking 3 days getting to our campsite on the med coast near Montpellier.

Watching the Giro highlights last night on eurosport and caught the trailer for the Dauphine. Looking at the Dauphine OS to see where the route goes. We leave Lyon early in the morning on the very day the race finishes there.

Gutted!

Spoken with my holiday orgniser (our lass) to see if we can reschedule. Regretably late changes to our itinary are not permitted!

That's a pity, so near and yet so far! I saw it on the Galibier a few years back. The only continental stage race I've seen.

I shall be in the Pyrenees this weekend so too far away this time.

We ought to plan ahead better shouldn't we?
