Had a lovely ride in the sunshine, got home and decided to get some shopping...

Was driving home and stopped at a red light. It turned green and as I was pulling away and some daft *@#!£ idiot on a mountain bike jumped the light, (on the wrong side of the road), she didn't even see me as she had her mobile phone glued to her ear!!!

She was lucky I was pulling away from a standing start, if I'd been doing 20 or 30 going through the junction I dread to think what would have happened.....

Clearly she is an idiot. You do have a responsibility when driving of making sure it is safe to proceed through a junction that it is safe to do so. Green light does not mean just drive through.

Yep. I was taught you still check the other roads for vehicles coming. So few people seem to check and so many motorists jump red now that it's surprising there aren't more crashes.
