Well, it's the same route as last year apparantly. So assuming I do not mentally fall apart climbing out of Ashburton towards Holne, like last year, aaaggghhh I really suffered going up there, I could not get my head in gear at all:sad:. Well then, maybe a silver medal this time round...maybe

yh thats what im hoping to get, will be my first ever sportive :o)

what bike you running for it

I shall be on my new Ribble Carbon Sportive, it'll be it's second sportive as I shall be doing the Dragon Ride earlier in June. Jeeeeeezzz, I'm going to be knackered in July!

sounds like your really going to be testing yourself and the bike this year!

At the moment the Exmouth Exodus clashes with the Classic so I won't be riding
I'd been hoping to go for silver and also get some more flattering official pictures

er, what kind of excuse is that? Exmouth is only an hour ride away from Kingsteignton. Finish in Exmouth at 6, quick butty, over to Kingsteignton, away by 8. Whats the matter with you woman?
My cast iron excuse is that I'm on the Exodus roving tea van again this year so will still be brewing up at 6am ;)

...and your excuse is?

We've actually got a couple of nutters talking about doing the Exodus and the Dartmoor Classic.
Excellent, we were hoping there would be a few people mad enough to double up...I have a feeling I might be able to guess who one of them is!

are there a lot of hills?
on the website it says amount for climb as 2650ish metres..over 100k I thought that wasnt a lot?
Was thinking of doing some spinning classes until the nights get lighter..worth it?
was planning to start training on the bike first week in feb for min 2 max 3 sessions a week...start with a fairly easy distance then look to increase distance by about 10% a week until im up to the 55 mile level
