Comfy armchair to one person & a plank to the next
No mention how many bike spaces?

I was there yesterday. It’s going to be basically the same as it is now but with linkage to a multi-storey car park as current car parking provision is poor. The new concourses I think are really just moving the short concourses to run parallel to the pre existing long concourses. Unless the network improves it’ll still be local trains and trains that run from Scotland to London and Birmingham.

I got a train from Middlesbrough back to Birmingham in the late 1980s. I remember post-industrial wasteland as far as the eye could see, but with the Darlington train shed looming on the horizon.

Nothing much has changed to be fair. You’ve got Middlesbrough college, the police station and a few creative industries offices where you work/live in.

The rest is the old demolished middlehaven/town which used to be the hussle and bustle of Middlesbrough back in the 30’s.

I would recommend a visit to the recreation of the old town in MIMA to put into perspective how much is lost.

A quick peruse of Google Maps shows a lot of post-1980s housing estates there now. It was all gravel and weeds.
