My mum fell and broke her wrist a couple of months ago. The lovely nurse who applied the plaster cast was called Cynthia. I didn't feel able to explain to Mum why I was trying to suppress a giggling fit. I expect Cynthia is used to it.

I remember seeing her "portrait" of Jimi Hendrix in some Underground magazine in the late Sixties. It looked as though it had been on a long, punishing shift.

BTW, I've always wondered how she stopped her plaster of Paris encasing the pubic hairs of her models. Removing the casts must have been extremely painful unless she had a cunning technique.
