Since joining this site a few weeks ago, I have also joined cyclogs.

http://cyclogs.org

Been for a ride this morning from Ayr to Largs, so logged it and was well chuffed to find that I had the longest ride of the day! For all of 10 minutes, until "ThomasThailand" came along with his 72.98 miles xx(.

Still time for me to go and do another 30 miles........... or maybe not!!

I have just had a very poor month and need to get back on the bike. Work, the dark nights, other commitments have conspired against me. Well, next week will be more focused.

Welcome brandane.

Good to see you have joined in the cyclogs fun, Brandane. It is certainly one way to keep the enthusiasm up on those dark and wet mornings when other travel options look more attractive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Brandane, i think we must have joined around the same day. Dont worry Thomas fae Thialand has to let his legs rest one of these days

The last few years i've been riding about 7500 miles, then when i joined cyclogs and this forum i started to ride a little further each weekend, then i started to increase my commute when i could. The last few months i've been riding 17miles to the stables(3 miles direct) and 8miles from there to work(4.7miles direct). On the return trip it depends on the weather. Direct route if its wet or various options if dry.
Some days i find myself adding a short loop just to finish on a nice round number for the day.

Thanks for all the welcomes and encouragement! Back to work for 4 days now, so I expect I will slip down the rankings into oblivion. Got a nice wee ride planned for Thursday though ........

Brandane, it's addictive this stuff & good for you. The thing you'll have to remember is there's always someone out there that can go faster or further than you. What you have to do is to keep on going & try to use the others as yard sticks xx(.

well I'm not even going to try and compete with the mileage this month

but there's always a bright side so i like to remind myself that I'm quite high up when it comes to average speed
