been through a box of old bits and found this ..a reach down and hand change front clanger ! any one know anything about them? it still moves slickly can't stop faffing with it

I had something like that on one of my early bikes. They really did live up to their name "clangers".

I've got one on my Evans works great but I always used to take my eyes off the road when changing

looked on eBay and surprise surprise one for £280 is on sale from America we are quids in !! I just like it because it's quirky

Can't quite remember what mine cost, probably around 7/6. Bought it with a steel Williams C34 double and that was probably about 30/-
