Cyclist v Tipper Lorry

I believe this was a lorry leaving a Crossrail site. I work on one of the sites and we were briefed about it last week, should never have happened as Traffic Marshals are always present when vehicles are in use.

Driver has not been arrested, so it would appear to be no evidence to show any criminal negligence.

I find it really strange that this happened on the day and at the time it did.
It's usually deserted in that area at 8am on a Sunday morning.

Traffic marshalls do not travel the whole route with the tippers , not even crossrail go that far and they are one of the better construction JVs. The nearest Crossrail site would use Houndsditch as a route out of the city though.

speculation will take place but only 2 people actually know what happened and one of them sadly can't put their side of events forward.

As hilighted above the oddity with this one is day of week. Lack of congestion would perhaps discount possibility of cyclist edging alongside left turner but probably best not to speculate.

Time though means that unless there was CCTV there's even less chance than usual of a witness having seen whole thing.

I have that attitude myself and I consider myself a very experienced cyclist and cycling commuter.
