We seem to be loosing a few cyclists lately
Condolences to family and friends RIP
The power of sites like this is that we hear about most of them. On long term averages two cyclists will be killed in the UK per week - each one, of course, a tragedy - but that compares with about 30 motorists killed per week. I'm not sure if it's reassuring that these are some of the lowest rates in the world.

It's little comfort for those they leave behind. Very very few cycling deaths are self inflicted. Pretty much all have occurred where a cyclist has been crashed into or run down by some sort of vehicle which paints a slightly different picture. Btw it's a little more than 2 cyclists killed every week. And how about the thousands injured who don't seem to get a mention? You might not be dead but you could spend the rest of your life in a wheel chair or drinking through a straw.
