Just read this and felt numb. I know that road and have cycled on it myself so feel this one on a personal level.

Very sad news to read, my thoughts are with his family & friends.

I've also cycled along that road a few times too.

Me too!

I came very close to being there when the poor rider was hit. I intended to head that way on my ride last night but looked at the time and realised that I would need lights to get back so I went on a shorter ride instead.
