Cyclist Down Beverley Road/Hayworth Arms, Hull

Not a good week news-wise

Driving back from a failed MTB'ing excursion (supposed to be a quick blast round Blacka Moor and Houndkirk Road, got out there, bikes out of car, wheels reattached, rack and bag clamped on and mate then announces that his lid is sat on his settee at home ), Radio Humberside reporting what sounds like a nasty collision between a cyclist and motorbike at the Hayworth Arms junction on Beverley Road

I know that's some of our members' area...hope it's no-one on here

Although that sounds awful in a way "hope it's someone else.." - it's terrible of course that it's ANYONE

I was cycling down Bev Road when I came to the closed off section, so I hopped off and pushed. I heard two coppers talking about it so I knew it was a motorbike, didn't know there was a cyclist involved though. From the news story it seems like the cyclist is all right, so that's good news. Motorcyclist is alive, so that's not a bad outcome considering how badly motorbike crashes seem to go.

Rumour is that the motorbike was nicked.

It would have been alright if they'd suffered life changing injuries, then they could have been wheeled (drooling) around local schools showing other yoofs the true consequences of being a tw@t.
