The Fly6 is intended/designed to be mounted on the seat post. I have seen many riders who are wanting to use the Fly6 with a underseat saddle bag.

On the slim chance it may help someone here is my solution.

I have a Topeak Mondopack XL https://www.wiggle.co.uk/topeak-mondo-pack/ This is a pretty substantial
underseat pack. Using this with my Fly6 I lose the use of the rear expandable section, still plenty of room for a tube/tools etc

I purchased the Cycliq Rear pannier Mount https://cycliq.com/product/fly6-ce601-rear-pannier-mount/
not cheap for what they are. I got mine from Amazon (2 in a pack with nuts & screws)

After cutting to shape I inserted some stiff card in the rear of the pack. After making the relevant postion holes through the back of the pack and through the card I screwed the rear pannier mount to the mondopack.

It's all pretty solid, and I don't think it's going anywhere ^_^ The Fly6 twists on/off the mount with no problems. My bag uses 'QuickClick' fixing system plus 2 velcro straps around the seat post. I know Cycliq
claim that only by fixing to the seat post will the Fly6 camera give the best captured footage. Well
that may be so but I have used mine for some time on the seatpost and I cannot see any loss of video quality with my set up.
Due to the shape of the bag the Fly6 is not at right angles to the road (it points down a little) but it
doesn't affect the video taken (in fact it gives you more road and less sky !) and the rear light cluster is easily seen.

I haven't tried this with any other saddlebags.

Very good. You have given me an idea for GoPro. Thank you.

Looks really wobbly to me, I cannot believe that he footage is not affected, especially when out of the saddle. I would be leaving the suitcase at home and use a much smaller saddle pack.

What looks "really wobbly" you haven't seen any video footage  Oh I see, your guessing ?

The setup looks wobbly - simple laws of physics.

To put this to bed, providing your bag has a secure fixing, and the Topeak underseat 'QuickClick' system that I use is very good. No ! not the one in the picture, watch the video.

You will not have a problem despite the " simple laws of physics " in fact I think the footage is better than when I attached the Fly6 to my seatpost ?
I think when attached to the bike frame every 'bump' in the road is transferred to the camera. The bag 'probably 'absorbs' some of the vibrations. ^_^

A bike is an inherently wobbly thing, if I may remind you. Unless you do Keirin or something similarly strange away from the big bad outdoors, every moment your bike - saddle, light and all - will be vibrating in all directions. Fixing the FLy6 to a saddlebag only adds a slightly different vector to all the vibration. It might actually add an element of buffering, as a saddlebag is something soft that deforms slightly in response to vibrations, so it might result in less vibration, not more. And for the rest, that's what we have image stabilization for.

Great idea! I have the Ortlieb Saddle Bag Two (or "SB2" for family and friends) and am facing a similar challenge. I might not go the invasive way that you did, but I think my solution will also go through the pannier mount. The SB2 has built-in loops where you can mount other stuff, and I just had an idea how I can fit the pannier mount safely in there. It will involve screws, just not through the material of the bag... Damn! I am bad at describing this! Or maybe the idea is not as good as I think it is. Anyway, if it works, I hope I remember to post some photos here. It should actually add some protection against stones, because the screen protectors I bought can't even adhere properly to the Fly6...
