Cycling with a camera

Because I cycle to work every day. Is there a point of me buying a camera to record other road users? And if so, what is the advantage of a camera? I nearly got hit by a car so I was just thinking about it.

I nearly get hit by cars all the time but none of them have hit me . Well one did but I was calling him a self-gratification artist through the passenger window at the time so fair game .
Im more interested in watching the road and predicting what others are going to do than recording it incase I wasn't looking out for myself .

Evidence in case of accident is only advantage

No disadvantage as such, but its takes effort to be a good publisher of your clips if thats what you want?

if I could afford it I would buy a cam and a PC and upload all my near misses to the tube to shame all those drivers that think it is ok to pass so close to me
