Hi,

I'm a tad disappointed with freeview cycling coverage of the spring tours. I'm almost at the point of subscribing to british eurosport online for £3.99 a month. Anyone else done this? Is it worth it or are the free options like steephill just as good? I shall probably watch it online that's ok, the sky packages are just too expensive for me at the moment.
I want to watch stuff like the paris roubaix, giro de italia, la vuelta etc. British freeview coverage on these was a bit poor last year.

Go for online, my other half did it. Make sure you pay attention when you unsubscribe - it didn't unsubscribe him 1st time around and he had to do it again. That might have been him being a bit dozy though!

Eurosport has coverage of most of the spring classics, the three grand tours (Giro d'Italia, Tour De France, La Vuelta) plus the Eneco tour, and a selection of other smaller tours, I have subscribed to the online service also.

Is watching cycling that good ?

I enjoy doing it, but watching it just leaves me cold.

Plus, the commentary on TV always seems a bit too chummy and pally for me.

But then again. What do I know.

Thanks Mikey,

Darth, I kinda quite enjoy it, but I know what you mean. I find the vuelta like watching the tour without all the people. Bit weird sometimes.

Anyway decision made. Thanks for all your comments.
