He's not moving. You can see that the bike is tilted slightly towards the offside and there is a suspicious shadow under his right foot, where I suspect the bike is being supported underneath that pedal. If he were moving there would be disturbance in the water rather than simply the slight chop washing over the rims, and there isn't.

So he didn't "cycle across" the lake at all. That is what is technically called "a lie".

yup. fake, gotta be.

No water rising up with the 'supposedly' moving wheels and dropping off... and only one photo?

edit, and why is he braking?

Great bit of publicity though

When I initially saw this I though that somehow they had managed to put a clear plastic pathway a few mm below the waters surface. I believe that this was done when a group of people claimed they had invented shoes that allowed you to run on water. However the more I look at it the more I am drawn towards the Photoshop option.

NB - Also looks as though he has his front brake applied. Edit posted this as MontyVeda was posting his

Hes holding the brake too.

I have to admit that, like the rider in the picture, I keep a nervous hand on the brake in wet conditions.

Pleased to see him wearing a helmet, though! That'll save his life if he falls and hits his head on a wave.

Also, he ought to watch out for close passes from pleasure boats and jay-kayaking kayakers.

I'll get my coat.

Whilst I'm glad to see he's got a helmet on, should he not be wearing a Lifejacket.

Whole new can of worms to open up now!!!

I've got an inflatable helmet...

...not the kind you're thinkig of.

Seriously though. Did read of a guy that faked walking on water with a glass "plank" across the water. Probably that, photoshop or wires. EDIT just seen it. He's fixed to a post on his right foot. Cranks are probably non-rotational.

Now if a video comes out!

I dont think its photoshopped my theory is its very shallow water, he has built a pile of stones under the surface to hold up each wheel plus another to prop up the rigt side pedal, hence the reason for him holding the brake.

Great picture, and for a good cause.

it looks like his shoes are wet he may have waded out and positioned himself on a rock deffinately a block of something under his right foot!
