Page 23 of yesterday's 'I' newspaper also carries this story, Mr. Huggins of Esher who runs a clay pigeon shooting business is annoyed due to the fact & I quote ..... " There are thousands of us who are basically not allowed out of our own front doors because of these events ".

That amused me too - all those shooting types who claim to love tramping about in the fresh air and the open countryside ... you know, using their feet.

Occupational hasard, I'd guess. Feet of clay and all that.

My parents live in Surrey,I grew up there, it's the NIMBY capital of the world.
Yes they were "trapped in their own homes" by the Olympics and the Ride London event, but enjoyed watching both. Embrace the event and you might enjoy it. It's what London does every year when the marathon comes to town.
