I have just overhauled my 04 Allez with a new cassette, chain and bottom bracket. I went for a 30 mile cycle for the first time in a year or so. As I push down on the pedals, especially in the small chainring, I get a clunk as the pedal stroke seems to need to catch up a small amount of slack.
I get this unless pushing quite a low cadence in a high gear.
I am going to change rear derailleur as old one has barrel adjuster which is broken off, just like the one on the downtube. But shifting seems okay.
Any ideas? Rear hub?
