Whatever suits you. I'd lose motivation if I cycled for fitness everyday. I managed to lose weight by getting only 3 quality workouts in a week and I think that is the point, yeah you could struggle around a route everyday and knacker yourself out. Or put in a quality ride once every other day and you'll benefit from more than just weight loss.
Not too sure about weight loss, but certainly from a fitness POV recovery is just as important as actually doing exercise to stress the system. Maybe a couple of 15 mile rides during the week and a couple of longer rides at weekends if possible?
Forget the distance, focus on the time spent exercising. How long does the 10 mile ride take you? How long does the 15 mile ride take you?
How fit are you now? What are your goals?
Then you can can build a training plan.
If you are new to training (and I don't mean new to cycling) then three times a week, 1 hour of aerobic exercise is a good starting guideline. Build on that based on what your goals are.
