Hi,

Recently bought this-http://www.amazon.co.uk/Etc-Mach-2-...=1374694380&sr=1-13&keywords=cycling+computer

All seemed good until I started fitting the sensor. The Instructions clearly state that the sensor is to be placed on the Inside of the front fork, however it is so big that the spokes hit it when they pass! I tried placing it on the outside of the fork but then it dosen't detect the magnet. Even on the really thin bit of the fork it didn't pick up! It does detect it when basically touching the magnet. Instructions suggest a gap of 1-3mm!:cursing:

Any advice??

Why not move the sensor towards the front of the fork blade until you get the gap you need? The advantage of fixing the sensor towards the forks' front rather than the back, is if the sensor gets hit by the spokes it won't get jammed/smashed between the forks and the spokes.

sometimes you don't have to get the magnet in the middle of the sensor, on my MTB the magnet goes past the sensor at the top and works fine.

on the road bike I had to mount the sensor to the back of the front fork as like you the magnet hit it

I had mounted it to the back of the fork and it isn't close enough! Would putting it on the back fork make a difference as I think there is more clearance there.
